Senator Reid and Senator Lieberman spoke to reporters about the Senate Democratic Caucus meeting in which leadership issues and positions for the 111th Congress were discussed. The also talked about a secret vote on Independent Senator Lieberman’s future in the Senate Democratic Caucus and the decision to retain him as chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee and member of the caucus. His role as chairman was in question after his vocal support for Republican Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign.
