Governor Palin spoke to reporters and answered questions in a formal news conference. She spoke briefly about the 2008 presidential campaign and urged governors to turn to the challenges of policy making in the next few years. She also said the she and fellow Republican governors were ready to put aside "extreme partisanship" and act if Washington failed to provide the leadership America needed.
