Richard Weinstein and Connie Doebele talked about the C-SPAN program they produced, “Three Years Later: Conversations with Iraq War Veterans.” It is a follow-up to a program, “Soldiers Wounded in Iraq,” produced in 2005 when four soldiers were interviewed at Walter Reed Hospital while recuperating from injuries received in Iraq. Each of the soldiers had lost on appendage; some were double amputees. In 2008 the soldiers were interviewed in their homes. This series is a side by side comparison of the two interviews, comparing and contrasting the soldiers' lives, attitudes, and opinions in 2005 and 2008. Video clips with representatives of several organizations around the country who were instrumental in helping these veterans rehabilitate once they left Walter Reed and clips from the series were shown.
