Ms. Robertson discussed her book, The Girls in The Balcony: Women, Men, and The New York Times. Her book chronicles the history of sex discrimination at The New York Times. It also details the class action suit brought against The New York Times by seven women in 1974, which was settled in favor of the women.

Ms. Robertson also discussed how she won a Pulitzer Prize for a story on toxic shock syndrome. Ms. Robertson contracted the infection herself and had the ends of her fingers amputated before she recovered. close
