In a portion of a conference on the future of U.S. national security policy, panelists focused on challenges posed by Iran and security concerns in the Middle East. Among the issues they addressed were Iranian nuclear development programs, U.S. and Iranian interests in Iraq, various proposals for improving regional security, and diplomatic efforts to secure a long-term security agreement with the Iraqi government.
