Brit Hume talked about the state of journalism and his own career path from newspaper reporter to television anchor. He talked about the FOX News network's philosophy on coverage and presentation of the news and why it is unique. Brit Hume joined FOX News in 1996. He currently is managing editor and also anchors "Special Report with Brit Hume," which airs weekdays at 6 p.m. ET on FOX News Channel. Before joining FOX, he was at ABC News for 23 years, including a stint as chief White House correspondent. In the 1970s, Hume worked for Jack Anderson on the column "Merry-Go-Round."
