Andrew McCarthy talked about his book Willful Blindness: A Memoir of the Jihad (Encounter Books, April 14, 2008). Andrew McCarthy was the lead prosecutor against Sheik Omar Abdel Rahmen and the other men responsible for the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993. Mr. McCarthy talked about that trial and the current state of the war on terrorism. The guest interviewer was Hugh Hewitt. The interview was recorded at BookExpo America in the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Andrew McCarthy was assistant United States attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1993 to 1996. Following September 11, 2001, he supervised the U.S. Attorney’s Anti-Terrorism Command Post in New York City. Mr. McCarthy is currently director of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies Center for Law and Counterterrorism and is a regular contributor to several publications, including National Review and Commentary.
