Richard Miniter talked about terrorism and his books on U.S. efforts to counter terrorist organizations. He also talked about his background, the process of writing, and his interest in government and public policy.
He was the author of Losing Bin Laden: How Bill Clinton's Failures Unleashed Global Terror; Shadow War: The Untold Story of How Bush Is Winning the War on Terror; and Disinformation: 22 Media Myths That Undermine the War on Terror, all published by Regnery Publishing. A 1960 graduate of Vassar with a degree in philosophy, Mr. Miniter's writings have been published in a variety of magazines. In 2000 and 2001, he was based in Brussels and wrote editorials for The Wall Street Journal Europe and edited its weekly "Business Europe" column. In addition, he wrote a weekly column for The Wall Street Journal's website, OpinionJournal.com, titled "The Visible Hand." Following September 11, 2001, he joined a team of investigative reporters for the London Sunday Times producing a four-part series titled "The Road to Ground Zero."
