Candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination participated in a televised debate at the Recreational Sports Center of the University of Texas in Austin. The debate originally aired live on CNN. Campbell Brown was the moderator, with John King and Jorge Ramos also asking questions, some given first in Spanish. 

The debate was co-sponsored by Univision and the Texas Democratic Party.
