Egil “Bud” Krogh is the author of Integrity: Good People, Bad Choices and Life Lessons from the White House, published by PublicAffairs. Mr. Krogh served in the Nixon administration where he held several positions, including deputy counsel, undersecretary of transportation and co-director of the Special Investigations Unit later known as “The Plumbers.” Mr. Krogh served a prison term for his involvement in the Watergate break-in. He was re-instated to the bar and currently practices law in Seattle.

David Abshire introduced the concluding luncheon session about the program for integrating ethics and character into leadership training. He emphasized the necessity of a good example at the top of any organization, including the presidency. Bud Krogh spoke about President Nixon. He also contrasted Watergate and the occupation of the Bureau of Indian Affairs by protestors as examples of taking responsibility for one’s actions.
