Vincent Bugliosi talked about his book The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder (Vanguard Press, May 26, 2008). In the book Mr. Bugliosi argues that President Bush and members of his administration are responsible for murdering thousands of U.S. soldiers and over 100,000 Iraqi civilians in Iraq. Mr. Bugliosi says that by taking the country to war under knowingly false pretenses, President Bush has committed the most serious crime in U.S. history. He argues that a criminal court is the only venue where he could be prosecuted and urges that it be done. Mr. Bugliosi, a former prosecutor for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, talked about his legal theory of the case. After his presentation he responded to questions from audience members.
