President Bush, aboard Air Force One on the way to Kennebunkport, Maine, commented on the possible release of western hostages being held in Lebanon. He stated that although he would not contribute to speculation he acknowledged the reports about a possible release. He also answered questions regarding the allegations being made against the Reagan/Bush campaign of 1980 which might have negotiated a hostage release of the American soldiers being held captive in Iran.
