Michael Pollan talked about his book In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto, published by Penguin Press. Mr. Pollan argued that the American diet of generations ago that relied on whole foods has been erroneously displaced by one that is highly processed and marketed with the promise of dubious nutrition. He advised that for healthy eating: “eat food, not too much, mostly plants.” He responded to questions from members of the audience. close
