Lynne Cheney talked about her book Blue Skies, No Fences: A Memoir of Childhood and Family, published by Pocket Books. She talked about her habit of writing stories as gifts for family members. The emphasis of her memoir is on the decades after World War II. She shared many stories about her and her husband’s ancestors, her childhood, growing up in Wyoming, and the fears generated by the Cold War. After her presentation she responded to questions submitted by audience members.

Mrs. Cheney’s husband, Vice President Richard Cheney, was present in the audience.
