Congressional Budget Office (CBO) Director Douglas Elmendorf spoke to reporters about the latest federal budget projections. He said he expects deficit spending of almost $1.5 trillion in 2011 with the federal debt rising to $18 trillion in 10 years. The outlook also showed moderate economic and job growth over the next few years in the absence of any changes to current laws. close
