Alan Greenspan was interviewed on stage about his memoir, The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World, published by Penguin Press. He talked about his life as described in the book, and about his tenure as chairman of the Federal Reserve Board from 1987 to 2006. Topics included taxes and economic growth during his tenure, the current turmoil in the public and global markets, and the workings of the global economy in each of the major regions of the world. Mr. Greenspan was interviewed by Pultizer Prize-winning author Daniel Yergin, following which he responded to questions from members of the audience.
