Michelle Rhee talked about her teaching experiences, her ideas about successful teaching, and her challenges and plans for the District of Columbia schools. She was confirmed by the City Council in July 2007 as the first chancellor of the District of Columbia Public Schools. She also talked about her experiences as chief executive officer and president of The New Teacher Project (TNTP), a non-profit organization that trains teachers to work in urban school districts.
