Paul Weyrich moderated a discussion in which panelists talked about the upcoming presidential election. Anna Greenberg spoke about the potential impact of new voters, and described the “unprecedented efforts” by Republicans, Democrats, and lobbying groups to register voters. Stuart Rothenberg spoke about polling and discussed some of the factors that are influencing voters. Ed Kilgore spoke about the importance of as yet undecided voters, and he described some of the characteristics of these voters. Robert Novak emphasized the importance of undecided voters in a small number of “battleground” states and talked about the strategy of both Pres. Bush and Sen. Kerry. John Judis talked about factors that influence voter participation. The panelists responded to audience questions. close
