Senator Mitch McConnell spoke at the Reagan Library as part of the library’s summer lecture series. He talked about President Reagan’s legacy and the outlook for conservatism in the U.S. He said that the country was in a dangerous economic crisis when President Reagan took office in 1981 because of the “Great Society” programs of the 1960s and 1970s. However the “Reagan Revolution” helped solve the crisis. Senator McConnell responded to audience members' questions. close
