Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace and co-chair of the Clean and Safe Energy Coalition (CASEnergy), spoke on “Searching for a Sustainable Energy Future.” He focused on nuclear power and its role in building a sustainable energy infrastructure. Among the issues he addressed were radioactive waste produced by nuclear energy production, nuclear power in France, and possible expansion of nuclear energy production in the U.S. He also talked about the role nuclear energy could play in meeting the rising electricity demand and the challenges posed by global climate change. He answered questions from the audience. close
