Hal Vaughan talked about his book, FDR’s 12 Apostles: The Spies Who Paved the Way for the Invasion of North Africa, published by The Lyons Press. The book is about 12 consuls that were appointed by FDR to work in North Africa in 1940 to encourage anti-Axis movements.

This event was part of a year-long celebration of the 125th anniversary of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s birth. The Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum hosted the Roosevelt Reading Festival IV in the Henry A. Wallace Visitor and Education Center. Authors of recently published works that drew upon the Roosevelt Library archives presented author talks. close
