Robert McGovern talked about his book All American: Why I Believe in Football, God, and the War in Iraq, published by William Morrow. Mr. McGovern was working as a prosecutor in the office of Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau on September 11, 2001, when the Twin Towers fell. A former linebacker in the National Football League and a member of the Army Reserve, Captain McGovern immediately requested to be mobilized for active duty. Since that time he has advised battlefield commanders on the legal rules of engagement in Afghanistan and has prosecuted terrorist suspects in Iraq. In his book he contends that the war in Iraq should not be abandoned and relays his experiences on the ground to establish his argument. McGovern was interviewed by former Congressman Jack Kemp.

Jack Kemp is a former Republican Congressman who represented parts of Western New York from 1971 to 1989. He was appointed to serve as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from 1989 to 1993. Prior close
