In the study released February 14, 2007, “Public Safety, Public Spending: Forecasting America’s Prison Population 2007-2011,” the Pew Charitable Trusts projected that by 2011 the U.S. prison population will have increased by 13% costing an estimated $27.5 billion. She also responded to telephone calls and electronic mail.
