U.S. Comptroller General Walker talked about Congressional oversight of Iraq, the federal deficit, and private contractors. He also talked about U.S. war costs for Iraq and Afghanistan. The Government Accountability Office released reports on these issues the previous month. Mr. Walker had testified before the Iraq Study Group in preparation of their report on the Government Accountability Office’s work on Iraq and Afghanistan reconstruction efforts and war costs. He responded to telephone calls and electronic mail.
