Larry Kahaner talked about his book AK-47: The Weapon that Changed the Face of War, published by John Wiley and Sons. He described the rifle’s role in wars from Vietnam to Iraq. According to the author, no tool has spread so much raw power to so many people in so little time in the history of warfare. He gave many examples and told stories about the use of the weapon. The guest interviewer was Peter Singer, who directs a project on 21st century warfare for the Brookings Institution. close
