Daniel Yergin delivered a keynote speech. He then joined the panelists for a discussion of regional strategic issues, including both challenges and opportunities. Topics included the role of Saudi Arabia in global economics, consumer issues, Iraq and Iran crises, al-Qaeda and terrorism, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and oil exporting. After their presentations the panelists responded to audience members' questions.
