The Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on the nominations of Michael Wallace to the 5th Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals and of Vanessa Bryant to the U.S. District Court of Connecticut.

While acknowledging Mr. Wallace’s professional credentials and integrity the American Bar Association unanimously voted that he was “not qualified” due to his judicial temperament and allegations of racial bias. Ms. Bryant, by majority vote, was also rated as “not qualified.”
