George Soros was interviewed about his book The Age of Fallibility: Consequences of the War on Terror, published by PublicAffairs. He discussed his book with guest interviewer Ted Halstead. Mr. Soros said that America has lost direction. He suggested that a new attitude and approach are necessary for dealing with problems such as nuclear proliferation, global warming, and terrorism. Topics included making money, setting up his institute with autonomous parts, overreaction to the trap set for the U.S. by bin Laden, and misunderstanding terrorism.

Mr. Soros is chairman of Soros Fund Management, and also heads the Open Society Institute. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Council on Foreign Relations. close
