Rep. Rahm Emanuel was interviewed about his book, The Plan: Big Ideas for America, published by PublicAffairs. The guest interviewer was Michael Tackett. The congressman talked about alternatives Democrats should offer, the midterm elections, energy prices, social issues, college education, and community service. 

Rep. Emanuel co-wrote the book with Bruce Reed, president of the Democratic Leadership Council. Both men served as aides in Bill Clinton’s 1992 and 1996 presidential campaigns and held policy jobs in the White House.
