Outgoing House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Thomas talked about tax policy and the operation of the Ways and Means Committee. Among the issues he addressed were the Bush administration’s tax cuts, the practice of ear marking legislation, and the state of the U.S. economy. Following his remarks he answered questions from the audience.
