Margaret Creighton talked about her book The Colors of Courage: Gettysburg’s Hidden History, published by Basic Books. The author details the history of the Civil War through the eyes of blacks, women, and immigrants. Professor Creighton used letters, diaries, and newspapers to tell the stories of people who were not on the battlefield but heavily affected by the war.

The event was the Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania annual luncheon at the 10th annual Lincoln Forum Symposium in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It was held at Gettysburg College. close
