Undersecretary Burns spoke about the successes and challenges in Bosnia ten years after the signing of the Dayton Accords that led to the end of ethnic fighting. Among the topics he discussed were a call to modernize the accords and the future of the Balkan States. He also said that support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s membership in NATO was contingent on the capture of Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic. Following his remarks, Undersecretary Burns responded to questions and comments from members of the audience. Ambassador Solomon moderated the program.
