Mr. Borowitz used Greek literature to explain that terrorism is triggered by a need to be famous. Using charts and graphs, Mr. Sageman discussed his research of over 400 terrorist biographies and offered his solutions for defeating global terrorism. Following their separate presentations, both authors responded to questions and comments from members of the audience. Mr. Earnest introduced the guests and moderated the event.
