Undersecretary Hughes testified about her recent travels to Indonesia and Malaysia where she visited some of the areas affected by the December 2004 tsunami. She also talked about the goals of her State Department position in public diplomacy. Topics included arresting or reversing the sharp rise in anti-American sentiment in the Arab world.
