Mr. Sidey, former political and White House correspondent for Time Magazine, talked about his life and career. He had covered nine presidents over 38 years for the magazine and is one of the recipients of the 2005 National Portrait Gallery Peck Presidential Award winners. Mr. Milewski moderated the event while Mr. Peck and Mr. Pachter spoke about the award. Mr. Sidey also responded to questions and comments from members of the audience. 

The editors of Time magazine published his works in Time: Hugh Sidey’s Portraits of the Presidents: Power and Persnoality in the Oval Office. During the program, Mr. Sidey’s photographs were shown of Presidents Kennedy and Nixon among others.
