Former Lockheed Martin chairman and chief executive officer Augustine talked about the Committee on Prospering in the Global Economy of the 21st Century, a panel of experts convened by the National Academies. The panel issued a report last week calling for an effort to strengthen U.S. scientific competitiveness. Mr. Augustine was scheduled to testify before the Senate Energy Committee on October 18 and the House Science Committee on October 20. He also responded to questions and comments from viewers.
