Secretary Spellings talked about responses by the Department of Education and schools to the Hurricane Katrina disaster. Among the topics she addressed were maintaining the quality of education, providing public education to displaced students, efforts by school districts and universities to accommodate those affected by the disaster, and evaluating responses to the disaster by educational institutions. She also answered questions submitted by audience members.
