The 2005 Defense Base Closure and Realignment Commission held a regional hearing on the list of possible closures and realignments of defense bases. Elected officials and community representatives testified about the impact of closing or realigning military installations in Pennsylvania. The installations under consideration were Willow Grove, 911th Air Wing, Kelly Support Center, 99th Regional Command, and Letterkenny and Tobyhanna Army Depots.
