Liberals met to chart a map for the future at the Americans for Democratic Action (ADA) 2005 Conference and Convention from June 23-24, 2005. Representative McDermott, national president of ADA, spoke to organization members on the Democratic agenda and criticized the Republican agenda. Included among the topics he discussed were social security, health care, housing, education, and unemployment. Following his remarks, Representative McDermott responded to questions and comments from members of the audience.
