A panel talked about the history of immigration and the experiences of immigrants in Chicago. They talked about the various categories of immigrants, their contributions to the life and culture of the city, and the growth of Chicago. They also responded to questions from members of the audience. Jeff Libman was the author and Steve Kagan was the photographer of An Immigrant Class: Oral Histories from Chicago's Newest Immigrants, published by Flying Kite. Craig Marberry was the author of Cuttin' Up: Wit and Wisdom from Black Barbershops, published by Doubleday. A vignette of the history of Printers Row was shown as part of the introduction to the panel.
