Mr. Heinemann talked about his book Black Virgin Mountain: A Return to Vietnam, published by Doubleday. His memoir recounts his 1967 tour of duty in Vietnam and his trip to the country in 1992. The author contrasted the harrowing experience of war with the warm and generous people he encountered upon returning to Vietnam. Following his remarks he answered questions from the audience.
