Mrs. Lieberman interviewed Mrs. Bradley about her book, The Way Home: A German Childhood, an American Life, published by Pantheon. Mrs. Bradley described growing up in Nazi-controlled Germany, arriving in America as a Pan Am flight attendant, becoming a professor of comparative literature, and marrying former Senator Bill Bradley (D-New Jersey).
Mrs. Bradley also talked about being a naturalized American citizen and about having breast cancer ten years ago. She is a professor of comparative literature, an author, a mother, a grandmother, and the wife of former 2000 Democratic presidential candidate Bill Bradley. She currently teaches at the New School University in New York City and lives in New Jersey.
Hadassah Lieberman, whose parents survived the Holocaust, is a member of Meridian House, a nonprofit educational institution, and sits on the board of directors of the Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation. She is married to U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman, 2004 Democratic presidential candidate, and 2000 Democratic vice presidential nominee. She is also co-author of An Amazing Adventure.
