Sinn Fein Leader Gerry Adams addressed the party’s annual conference in Dublin. He responded to criticism of the party’s ties to the Irish Republican Army. The IRA had been linked to a December bank robbery and the recent murder of a young man in Belfast. Mr. Adams was scheduled to visit the U.S. beginning on March 12, making stops in Cincinnati, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
