Robert Kaplan is a correspondent for the Atlantic Monthly and the author of ten books on international affairs and travel. His books have been read by both President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush. Mr. Kaplan has been a consultant to the U.S. Army’s Special Forces Regiment, the U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Marines. He has lectured at military war colleges, the FBI, the CIA, the National Security Agency, the Pentagon’s Joint Staff, and the U.S. State Department.
