William and Jill Ruckelshaus were interviewed about their careers in Washington and government service, and the Washington political culture. William Ruckelshaus was the first EPA administrator (serving from 1970-1973 and 1983-1985) and was acting FBI director (1973). He is currently with the Madrona Venture Group. Jill Ruckelshaus, a commissioner on the United States Commission on Civil Rights (1980-83) is currently a director at Costco Wholesale Corporation.
