James Hirsch talks about his book Two Souls Indivisible: The Friendship That Saved Two POWs in Vietnam, published by Houghton Mifflin. He spoke about the experiences of two Vietnam War POWs, Fred Cherry and Porter Halyburton, and the friendship that emerged between them during the war. Mr. Cherry and Mr. Halyburton joined James Hirsch for this event. The two former POWs, who were held as prisoners for over seven years, talked about how they met, the aid they provided each other while they were imprisoned, and the lives they have led since their release. They responded to questions from members of the audience. close
