Donna Brazile and David Brooks spoke about their recent books. Ms. Brazile is the author of Cooking with Grease: Stirring the Pots in American Politics, published by Simon and Schuster, which is a memoir about her life in the political arena. Mr. Brooks is the author of On Paradise Drive: How We Live Now (And Always Have) in the Future Tense, published by Simon and Schuster, which is a book about what it really means to be American. Ms. Brazile and Mr. Brooks discussed the 2004 presidential election as well as the prospects for both political parties in the coming years. Both authors answered questions from members of the audience after the discussion.
