Mr. Dobbs talked about his book Exporting America: Why Corporate Greed is Shipping American Jobs Overseas, published by Warner Books. In it, Mr. Dobbs writes that there is a large imbalance between the salaries of top CEOs and the salaries of the blue-collar workers and that these same workers are losing their jobs to job outsourcing overseas. Overseas jobs are not subject to the same strict labor laws and federal regulation standards as comparable jobs in the U.S. He also argued that a federally enforced curb on corporate greed could help slow the trend of shipping jobs overseas. Following his remarks he answered questions from the audience.
