Marking the 30th anniversary of President Ford’s inauguration, Ford Foundation awards for public service were presented to Secretary Rumsfeld and Vice President Cheney. Both Vice President Cheney and Secretary Rumsfeld, now serving in the Bush administration, served in the House of Representatives, as Chief of Staff in the Ford administration, and as Secretary of Defense.
