Coinciding with the dedication of the National World War II Memorial the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage held a four-day “Tribute to a Generation: National World War II Reunion” on the National Mall in a series of tented pavilions and stages. One of the tents was called “Wartime Stories.” On this panel Navajo code talkers discussed their service during World War II.
